FAQ and Q&A

As many of you might have questions that are not yet covered in any other sections, we post here the most frequent questions. You can also ask your question in the comment section and we will try to answer them the soonest.

Q: How is the expected weather?
A: While we do not have a crystal ball and weather in September is notoriously unpredictable, we expect a rather cold day (10-15 degrees celsius), with sporadic sunshine and potential rain showers in between. Bring warm clothes and an umbrella is always useful. You can follow the weather in this website in Romanian: http://vremea.kappa.ro/harghita/cristuru-secuiesc.html

Q: Where can we reach you in Romania?
A: You can currently reach us by calling Attila on a Romanian phone number: +40 745 197 468.

Q: If we want to catch a cab, any numbers to call?
A: In Széklyudvarhely/Odorheiu Secuiesc we booked accommodation at walking distance from the wedding place. Nevertheless, you can catch a cab by calling Taxi 24 at +40-744-24 24 24 or +40 727 24 24 24 or +40 722 700 000 or +40 266 214 110.

In Székelykeresztúr/Cristuru Secuiesc we also booked accommodation at walking distance from our home and the church, but just in case, you can call Likőr taxi at +40 758 706 983 or Vasko taxi at +40 753 885 190.

Not sure how much they speak english, so better ask a local to call a taxi and help you explain your intended destination.

Q: Will there be vegetarian food at the wedding party?
A:  We will arrange vegetarian option as long as you confirm us your need by e-mail or by calling +40 745 197 468.

Q: Do I need a visa to Romania?
A: Generally yes, and you can check the visa information on the Ministry of Foreign Affair's website, including exceptions:  http://mae.ro/en/node/2035. Please contact us if you need help in providing an invitation letter for the visa.

Q: How many people will be at the wedding?
A: We expect anywhere between 100-120 people at the wedding. Mostly the groom's family and friends will be there, given that the bride's family will be focusing on the Vietnamese event, besides the usual hurdles with Visas for Vietnamese traveling to Europe.

Q: In what language will be the church ceremony held?
A: The church ceremony will be held in Hungarian, the groom's mother language. Also note, that in Székelykeresztúr and Széklyudvarhely most of the people speak Hungarian as their primary language. These regions in Transylvania have the highest density of Hungarians.

Q: What kind of music will be at the party?
A: There will be a local band playing modern tunes, some retro music and traditional Hungarian songs. When the band is resting, we will play some modern tunes and the all too famous AIESEC dance music.
