How to get there

The wedding party will be held in two nearby cities (we will provide transportation between these cities on the wedding day and regular train rides are also available between the cities):

BY AIR:
The downside of this option is that the flight dates are limited and WizzAir is a budget airline, so connecting flights are not possible. But this is the closest airport, in case you can find suitable options. In case you come via Budapest, it can be an ideal option though.

From TGM there is a one hour drive to the wedding locations. Depending on your arrival time and date, we can pick you up with a car from the airport. In case you want to rent a car and drive around, then you can check these options: http://www.targumuresairport.ro/rent_car.php

  • Fly to Bucharest Airport, also called Henri Coanda International Airport (OTP) in Romania
Jokes aside, please don't mistake it with Budapest Airport when booking your plane ticket:) This is the main airport of Romania and plenty of flight options are available. This airport is 4-5 hours drive from the wedding place (in case you want to rent a car) and around 5 hours by train as well.

You can take a train from the airport to the main train station of Bucharest (Gara de Nord). From there you can take a train to Sighisoara (check www.cfrcalatori.ro), which is only a 30 minutes drive only from the groom's hometown.

We will surely arrange pick-up at the Sighisoara train station (unless you want to try a local train adventure according to this schedule: http://www.regiotrans.ro/mersul-trenurilor-sighisoara-cristur-odorhei). We can consider airport pick up, depending on your time and date of arrival.
You can take a train from Cluj Napoca as well (check www.cfrcalatori.ro), less options from Sibiu to get to the wedding party, except car.

BY ROAD:

Option A:
If you want to reach the groom's house first, then come from the direction of Budapest, Bucharest, Brasov, Cluj Napoca, Targu Mures, Oradea then just simply take the E60 European road until you reach Vanatori (which is 10 km from Sighisoara, between the Sighisoara and Brasov part of the E60).

In Vanatori, you turn onto the 13C road between Vanatori and Székelykeresztúr/Cristuru Secuiesc to reach the groom's house. This same road also leads to Székelyudvarhely/Odorheiu Secuiesc (after passing Székelykeresztúr/Cristuru Secuiesc), where the wedding party will take place.

Option B:
If you come directly to Székelyudvarhely/Odorheiu Secuiesc from Budapest, Oradea, Targu Mures (and do not want to come to the groom's house first), you can take the  E60 European road until Balavásár/Bălăuşeri and then take 13A road until Székelyudvarhely/Odorheiu Secuiesc. The distance is the same as in case of option A, but this road does not pass by the groom's house and leads you directly to the party city. It is also believed to be of higher quality and more merciful with your car.

BY TRAIN:

By train you have to aim to reach Sighisoara, which is the closest train hub to the wedding places. You can check www.cfrcalatori.ro to see train schedules leaving to and from Sighisoara from within Romania (and ask your local train information center from abroad for international trains, which do stop at Sighisoara).

From Sighisoara, we can pick you up with car (as it is 30 minutes from the groom's house). Alternatively there are regular, but very slow train rides between Sighisoara - Székelykeresztúr/Cristuru Secuiesc - Székelyudvarhely/Odorheiu Secuiesc. The schedule of these train rides is here for your reference: http://www.regiotrans.ro/mersul-trenurilor-sighisoara-cristur-odorhei
